Quwei Ye is an education researcher, professor, and designer of AI-supported teaching systems.

His work is shaped by an unusual continuity: early research in artificial intelligence and expert systems, later leadership across applied higher education, and current experimentation with teacher-governed AI agents. Across these settings, he focuses on how institutions and technologies can expand—not diminish—human agency.
